Agreeing changes, without the email chase
Change requests get lost in email threads, and months later nobody can find who agreed to what. So every change I build for a client is agreed the same way: one email, one decision, one receipt.
How it works
Three steps, from your inbox. Most decisions take under a minute.
One email, one button
When a change needs your yes, you get a short email from Scott with a single button. No account, no password.
Read it, then decide
The change is written in plain English on one page that works on your phone. Approve or decline, then confirm.
A receipt for both of us
You and Scott each get a receipt with exactly what you agreed to, who agreed and when.
What gets recorded, and why
Every decision is kept with the exact text you saw, the version, who decided and when. The record can only be added to: nobody, including me, can change what you agreed to after the fact.
That matters when someone asks six months later why the system works the way it does. The answer is one search away, and it is the same answer on both sides.
What it isn't
- Another password to remember.
- Another inbox to check. If nothing needs you, you hear nothing.
- An app to install.
Common questions
What if I forward the email to a colleague?
Each link belongs to one named approver, and the page says who is approving. If a colleague should have a say, ask Scott to add them as an approver and they get their own link.
Why did my link stop working?
Links expire when the offer does, and a link to an older version stops working when Scott sends an updated one. Email Scott and he will send a fresh link.
Can anyone change what I agreed to afterwards?
No. Each decision is stored in a ledger that can only be added to, together with a fingerprint of the exact text you saw. If the text had changed, the fingerprint would not match.
Where is the data kept?
In Microsoft Azure data centres in the UK. Emails are sent from Scott’s own mailbox.
What happens if I decline?
Nothing is built. Scott gets the same receipt and will be in touch to talk through what would work better.
Do I need to install anything or sign in?
No. Everything works from the email. A sign-in for looking back over everything you have agreed is on the way, and it will use the email address we already have for you.
Next step
Want your changes agreed like this?
Every client project I build comes with it. Tell me about the system you need and we can start there.
